Rare ticket stub (3.25 x 1.75 inches) to the first game of the 1910 World Series between the Philadelphia Athletics and Chicago Cubs, held at Shibe Park in Philadelphia. Graded VG-EX 4 (MK) by PSA. This is one of only six 1910 World Series Game 1 ticket stubs authenticated by the PSA and it represents the highest-graded example. Philadelphia won Game 1 by a score of 4-1 en route to a five-game victory over the Cubs in the World Series, thereby marking the first of Connie Mack's three World Championships between the years 1910 and 1913. The stub, issued for an "Upper Pavilion" seat, displays a very small, light pencil notation on the reverse. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,500++.
