Unique "stat ball" signed by Babe Dahlgren, the man who replaced Lou Gehrig at first base for the New York Yankees in 1939. Dahlgren has signed the official American League (Brown) in blue ink (grading "8/9") across the sweet spot, while adding handwritten notations on each of the four side panels. West Panel: "To Jeff - Best Wishes 11/1/84." East Panel: "Major League Player 1935-1946 Major League Coach 1964-1965-1970." North Panel: "New York Yankees World Champions 1938-1939." South Panel: National League All Stars 1943." All of the text is boldly written and grades "9" overall. The ball displays light toning and is otherwise in Near Mint condition. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
