Red-and-black stitched Official National League ball signed across the sweet spot by Babe Ruth. Ruth’s signature has been scripted in black fountain pen and grades “5/6.” Although the league president’s stamping is no longer legible, the ball can be approximately dated to the period 1928-1933 because Ruth has not bracketed the “Babe” portion of his signature with quotation marks (a practice he ended around 1928/1929) and the ball has red-and-black stitching (replaced by red stitching on ONL balls in 1933). The ball displays moderate soiling, a number of abrasions, and a few areas of discoloration. In Good condition overall. Full LOA’s from Brian Sobrero/Beckett Authentication and SGC Authentic.
