Collection of twenty-one game-used relic cards issued between 2000 and 2005 by Donruss, Leaf, Playoff, SP, Topps, and Upper Deck. This collection features exclusively Hall of Famers and stars, including Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, and Lou Gehrig. Card manufacturers created quite a stir when they began incorporating pieces of memorabilia into their card issues. Purists decried the practice of destroying historical artifacts for the sake of promotion. The majority of collectors, however, were delighted with the companies' innovative creation. This collection consists of cards featuring either bat pieces, jersey and uniform swatches (including pants, shoes, and jackets), or both bat pieces and jersey swatches from these legends.
