25% Vg-Ex to Ex (including a couple Ex-Mt), 39% Vg, and 36% lesser. Complete set of 320 cards highlighted by many Hall of Famers, including Mantle, Aaron, Mays, Kaline, and Banks. The 1955 Bowman cards (Bowman's final baseball-card issue) have always been very popular due to their classic "television" style and inclusion of so many stars. Includes both variations of #48 Bolling and 204 Bolling. The flush-to-the-border wood-grain design of this issue makes them very susceptible to corner and edge wear. Keys: #1 Wilhelm (Gd), 10 Rizzuto (Gd+), 22 Campanella (Fr-Gd), 23 Kaline (Vg-Ex), 33 Fox (Gd), 37 Reese (Pr), 38 Wynn (1/99 T/B, otherwise Vg+), 59 Ford (Vg-Ex), 60 Slaughter (Vg-Ex+), 65 Zimmer RC (Pr), 68 Howard RC (pen mark on reverse, otherwise Vg+), 103 Mathews (Vg-Ex+), 130 Ashburn (Pr), 134 Feller (Vg-Ex), 158 Hodges (Gd), 168 Berra (90/10 T/B, otherwise Ex), 169 Furillo (Vg-Ex+), 171 Roberts (Gd), 179 Aaron (Fr-Gd due to small tear to bottom edge), 184 Mays (Fr-Gd due to small tear to top edge), 191 Lemon (Gd), 197 Kiner (Gd), 202 Mantle (trimmed right and left edges, otherwise Gd), 242 Banks (Vg), 265 Barlick (Gd+), 303 Conlan (Ex+), and 315 Hubbard (Ex-Mt). Affordable, attractive low-grade sets of classic issues from the 1950s such as this always generate tremendous collector interest. This is the type of vintage set that to many collectors represents the very best value. Total: 322 cards (complete set of 320 plus two variations). Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
