Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Extremely high grade example of this classic tobacco card of Hall of Famer Ty Cobb. Of the 681 Green Background Cobbs listed in the PSA Population Report to date, only seventeen have received an EX-MT 6 designation. The Green Background pose has long been considered the rarest of the four poses of Cobb in the T206 set. The offered example has virtually flawless registration and vibrant colors, a clean front and back, centering towards the top border, and four square corners displaying just light touches of wear under close inspection. Piedmont 150 advertising reverse. A very striking example of one Cobb's most popular cards from the premier tobacco issue of the 1910 era. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000+.
