1888 N28 Allen & Ginter "World's Champions" complete set of ten baseball players, including six Hall of Famers (Anson, Clarkson, Comiskey, Keefe, Kelly, and Ward), all graded and encapsulated by PSA (six) or SGC (four). The complete set consists of the following: Cap Anson (PSA GOOD 2 [MK], crisp image with light staining on front and pencil marks on the reverse), Chas. Bennett (PSA VG 3), R. L. Caruthers (PSA VG 3), John Clarkson (SGC VG 40), Charles Comiskey (PSA EX 5), Jack Glasscock (SGC POOR 10), Tim Keefe (SGC VG/EX 50), Mike Kelly (PSA GOOD 2), Joseph Mulvey (SGC VG/EX 50), and John Ward (PSA EX 5). Allen & Ginters are universally recognized as one of the most classic of all pre-1900 issues. This is a very attractive complete set of this extremely popular nineteenth-century issue.
