Addendum: A small back wrinkle is visible on the reverse of the sheet in the area between Lowery and Mantle. It does extend very slightly into the area of the Mantle card, but is very faint and does not break the paper at all. The Mantle card still presents as Near Mint or better.
Presented is an extraordinary 1952 Bowman baseball uncut sheet with thirty-six different cards, including one of the most perfect and noteworthy examples of #101 Mickey Mantle that could possibly exist, and which by chance and good fortune happens to be in a perfectly preserved spot on the sheet. This is a final production sheet with fully printed backs. It is bright, crisp, and clean, with brilliant colors throughout. The front of the sheet has a Near Mint or better appearance (with the corner cards displaying light corner wear, as is to be expected from a sheet of this size). The sheet is highlighted by Gil Hodges, Ralph Branca, George Kell, and the key card, #101 Mickey Mantle, which has been protected on all four sides by the surrounding cards, and is in extraordinary condition. The offered sheet is free of any noticeable creasing or wrinkling that so often plagues uncut sheets. The reverse is clean and boldly printed with a small area of discoloration along the upper right reverse edge. This is an extremely significant uncut sheet of 1952 Bowman baseball cards, with a stunning key card #101 Mickey Mantle, one of Mantle's most important cards, and one of the most famous of all 1950s bubble-gum cards. An incredible addition to any world-class uncut sheet, Bowman, or Mickey Mantle collection. Dimensions: 18.5 x 12.5 inches. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500++.
