This J. F. Hillerich & Son Co. Nap Lajoie full-size decal bat, dating from the 1911 to 1916 manufacturing period, features a colorful portrait image of Lajoie on the barrel. Surrounding Lajoie's portrait image are his endorsement and advertising for Louisville Slugger bats. His facsimile signature appears below. As is common for nearly all decal bats from this era, large and small, the fragile decal label displays a number of minor chips and light abrasions. Overall, approximately fifty percent of the decal remains. The bat (33 inches), which is not cracked, displays moderate-to-heavy wear, including ball marks and light grain separation on the back of the barrel. In Good to Very Good condition overall.
