This unique photographic display is comprised of twenty individual vintage photos, all of which picture either a member or members of the Philadelphia A's, circa 1910. The centerpiece of the display is a 10 x 7.5-inch composite photo picturing twenty-five different team members, either in portrait or full-length action pose, including manager Connie Mack, Bender, Plank, Shawkey, Pennock, and each member of Mack's legendary "$100,000 infield": Baker, Collins, McInnis, and Barry. There is a vintage black-ink inscription on the photo, most of which is illegible, that appears to be from someone associated with the Philadelphia Evening Telegraph newspaper. Of the remaining nineteen photos, eight picture a single player (including examples of Bender, Collins, and Baker), two are team photos, and four are game-action scenes. All but three of the photos picture the player or players in uniform. Aside from the large, central photo, the other photos range in size from 5 x 3.5 inches to 1.5 x 2 inches. The photos are mounted by means of photo corners and most appear to have been trimmed to their current dimensions; otherwise they are in Excellent condition overall. Total dimensions: 20 x 16 inches. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
