Graded PR-FR 1 by PSA. Extremely rare example of Sherry Magee (with bat) of the Philadelphia Phillies from the classic T206 set featuring a very desirable Drum advertising back. This is the only Drum-back example of Magee (with bat) ever graded by PSA or SGC! (PSA only started designating advertising backs within the past few years, so it is theoretically possible that another example with a Drum back shows as unclassified in its Population Report, but we would have no way of knowing.) All Drum backs are very rare. According to T206Resource.com, Drum backs are the fifth most difficult to find advertising reverse within the T206 set (out of thirty-nine). The offered example presents very well despite its modest assigned grade. A crisp image, with bold colors and scattered creasing that does not affect most of the important central image. The Drum advertisement on the reverse is perfectly clean. This is an outstanding sample of this incredible back rarity which would make a worthy addition to even the most advanced collection. Reserve $500. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $6,600
