Scorecard from the 1930 United States Open Golf Championship held at Interlachen Country Club in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The 1930 U.S. Open marked one of legendary golfer Bobby Jones' most memorable championships. Jones had already won the British Amateur at St. Andrews and the British Open at Royal Liverpool that season. With his win at the U.S. Open, he stood poised to accomplish what no other golfer had ever done: win all four Majors in a single year. That feat, later labeled the "Grand Slam" by Atlanta Journal golf writer O. B. Keeler, was realized shortly afterwards when Jones won the U.S. Amateur Championship at Merion. The fold-over scorecard (5.25 x 3.5 inches, folded) is printed on heavy paper stock and is not scored or marked. It remains in virtually the same condition as when originally issued in 1930, with no creases and only light touches of wear to the corners. Excellent condition. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
