Team cabinet card featuring individual portrait images of twelve members of the Minneapolis Millers, a minor-league club playing in the Western League. All of the players are pictured in uniform with the exception of the manager. The team name and year are printed along the base of the photo. The photographer's credit "Miller" appears along the base of the mount and on the reverse. Interestingly, this composite is composed of individual cabinet cards of each team member that were produced by Miller as well. Although none of the players is identified, the club's 1894 roster included a number of former and future major league players (all of whom are presumably pictured here), including former Chicago White Stockings star outfielder Abner Dalrymple (we believe he is pictured in the upper left corner), Buster Burrell, Perry Werden, Hunkey Hines, and Jim Burns. The photo displays exceptional clarity and contrast and, aside from a tiny chip in the upper right corner, remains in Near Mint condition. The mount (4.25 x 6.5 inches) displays a light diagonal crease in the lower left corner, as well as minor edge wear. In Excellent condition overall.  Reserve $200. Estimate $500+.
