Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Outstanding ultra high-grade example of Hal Chase from the iconic E145 Cracker Jack set. Only three examples of this classic card have ever been graded higher by PSA. While Cracker Jacks were issued one card per box, in 1915 the entire set of 176 cards could also be ordered direct from the factory by mail in exchange for 100 coupons, or one coupon plus 25 cents. Cracker Jacks are universally regarded as one of the most classic and highly regarded baseball-card sets ever produced. This is a crisp card, perfectly clean front and back, no stains, outstanding centering, four sharp corners, and with a particularly deep red background. A small surface abrasion in the nameplate affects the "a" in "Chase." The reverse of the card is also perfectly bright and clean, with crisp, bold black text. This is an extremely attractive example of Hal Chase from the legendary Cracker Jack set. The SMR value for the assigned grade is $2,000. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+. SOLD FOR $1,541
