Title lobby card to the Stooges 1937 short Cash and Carry . This is a rare example of this desirable title card and one of only two we have seen at public auction. Cash and Carry , the Stooges' twenty-fifth short for Columbia, involved the boys trying to raise money for an operation for a crippled child. Unfortunately, their efforts at finding buried treasure end up with them digging into the United States Treasury. The card (14 x 11 inches) displays tiny pinholes at the corners, a tiny edge tear along the bottom border, a few minor creases (mainly along the border and corner areas), and a few tiny areas of surface paper loss at the border. A small piece of brown tape has been applied along the top border of the reverse (not in repair of any visible tear). The name of the film is written in pencil on the reverse as well. In Very Good condition, but with an overall Excellent appearance. Reserve $2,000. Estimate (open). SOLD FOR $5,036
