Ken Griffey Jr. Louisville Slugger signature-model ("C271") bat dating from the 1991-1997 manufacturing period. The bat, which is not cracked, displays moderate-to-heavy use along its entire length, including numerous ball marks (with ink transfers), grain swelling, deadwood on the front and back of the barrel, and a light application of pine tar. The bat also displays a few minor chips to the black finish. A wrap of white tape, done in Griffey's trademark "crisscross" pattern, extends 8 inches up the handle. Griffey has signed the bat in silver paint pen (grading "8") on the "sweet spot" of the barrel. Length: 33.75 inches. Weight: 29.8 ounces. Together with a New Era Seattle Mariners cap signed by Griffey in blue Sharpie ("9") on the top of the brim (Nr-Mt). Total: 2 items (bat and cap). LOA from James Spence/JSA (for the signatures only). Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800+. SOLD FOR $1,185
