Collection of three 1950 Bowman baseball cards, each signed in blue ink (grading "9/10") by the respective player on the front: Vern Stephens, Duke Snider, and Gil Hodges. Autographed 1950 Bowman examples for both Stephens and Hodges are particularly elusive given the fact that both men died at an early age. Stephens passed away in 1968 at the age of forty-eight, while Hodges died in 1972 at the age of forty-seven. 1) Vern Stephens #2. Fr-Gd, with two creases and a large area of surface paper loss on the reverse. 2) Duke Snider #77. Vg-Ex, with a small crease in the upper left corner. 3) Gil Hodges #112. Vg-Ex, tiny crease in the upper right corner. Total: 3 cards. LOA from James Spence/JSA. SOLD FOR $720
