Complete eight-card progressive-proof set depicting the entire color process for Hall of Famer Franco Harris' 1973 Topps rookie card. These extremely rare color-progression proofs were intended for use by the printer and Topps to help check and correct colors prior to printing production quantities. They are very likely unique. The color processes of the proof cards are, respectively: 1) yellow printing; 2) red printing; 3) blue printing; 4) red and yellow printing; 5) blue and yellow printing; 6) black printing; 7) red, yellow, and blue printing, giving it the appearance of a final process card but the black printing is missing; and 8) final process card, complete with all colors, including black. Each of the first seven color combinations represents a step in production toward the final process with all colors including black. The cards are in outstanding Near Mint condition, and each is encapsulated by Acu-Card, Inc. This is a fascinating, and very like unique, complete progressive-proof set of this popular football Hall of Fame rookie card. Total: 8 cards. SOLD FOR $480
