Presented is a very attractive, high-grade 100-card complete set of the 1955 Topps All-American series, the last football-card set issued by Topps honoring college football stars. This is a very strong set that has been in the family of our consignor for decades and was very likely collected by his uncle in the year of issue! Condition: 29% grade Nr/Mt to Nr/Mt-Mt, 22% Ex-Mt, and 49% Ex with a few lesser (almost entirely due to centering). Six cards are graded by PSA (all submitted by REA). Keys: #1 Hickman (Vg-Ex), 6 Kinnick RC (Ex+), 12 Graham (NM-MT+ 8.5), 16 Rockne (NM-MT+ 8.5), 20 Baugh (NM 7), 27 Grange (NM-MT 8), 37 Thorpe (NM-MT 8), 68 Four Horsemen (NM 7), 85 Luckman (Ex+), 97 Hutson RC (Ex), 98 Feathers (Ex), and 100 Henry RC (Vg-Ex+). This is a sharp-looking high-grade complete football set from the 1950s, including many cards in extremely high grade, and loaded with all of the great stars and Hall of Famers of the era.
