Two colorful Boston Red Sox pins dating to the club's 1912 World Championship season. Each pin (measuring 1.25 inches in diameter) retains its original paper backing bearing the name of the manufacturer (A. R. Lopez & Bro., of Boston). The first features an illustrated motif of a ball, bat, and red sock, with the year "1912" printed in white as part of the design of the sock. The pin retains its original red-and-white accent ribbons and is in outstanding Excellent to Mint condition. The second was most likely issued during the World Series against the New York Giants, as it reads "Red Sox 1912 World Series." It is also in strong Excellent to Mint condition. A rare and attractive pair of Red Sox souvenir pins from the historic 1912 championship season. Total: 2 pins. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600.
