Vintage slot machine, manufactured by the Mills Novelty Co., of Chicago, Illinios. This particular "one-armed bandit" requires a quarter for the chance to spin the reels, with pay outs ranging from three to twenty quarters. The list of pay-out options appears on the front. The Mills Novelty Company was once the world's largest manufacturer of coin-operated machines, including slot machines. In 1944 the company changed its name to Mills Industries, Inc. The machine is in perfect working order and the keys to the rear-panel lock are included. It appears that the wooden side cabinets and base have been either replaced or restored; otherwise it remains in its original, issued state. Moderate wear is displayed throughout, including a few minor scratches and "dings," that is commensurate with its age and former use. This is a wonderful, nostalgic piece of 103 that is perfect for either home or office. 16 x 15 x 27 inches. Weight: approximately 100 pounds. The substantial size/weight of this item requires that there will be a shipping charge for this lot (which will vary depending upon where it is being shipped). The shipping charge will be billed separately from the auction invoice. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $2,133
