Hank Aaron Adirondack block-letter (last name only) model "63A" bat dating from the 1961-1967 manufacturing period. This is particularly desirable era for an Aaron bat, dating from the heart of the 1960s. Most Aaron bats, of course, date from much later in his career. Ideally, Aaron's uniform number ("44") is written in black marker on the knob. The bat displays moderate use, including several ball marks on all sides of the barrel and green rack marks on the knob. This is a rare and ideal Hank Aaron game bat dating from the peak of his powers (1961-1967), a seven-year span during which he had three forty-plus home run seasons, five seasons with more than 100 RBI, and six seasons with a batting average greater than .300. Length: 33.5 inches. Weight: 32 ounces. LOA from John Taube and Vince Malta of PSA/DNA. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000+.
