Graded NM 7 by PSA. Extremely sharp high-grade example of Hall of Famer Vic Willis in a throwing pose, with a Sovereign back. Sovereign is a scarce back, certainly not in the same league as Drum or Uzit, but very unusual and seen far less often than the standard Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. This card is a gem! Bright, crisp, and clean, with flawless brilliant colors, perfect registration, four sharp corners with just the slightest hint of wear on the extreme tips visible under magnification, and virtually perfect centering. Aside from a very light hint of natural toning along the top and left edges, the reverse is also perfectly clean with no tobacco stains. This is a very sharp high-grade T206 Hall of Famer example (bordering on NM-MT). The SMR value for the assigned grade is $1,000. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,410
