Remarkable collection of 133 golf cards (118 different) from forty-one different sets, dating from 1920 to 1973, all graded and encapsulated by PSA (unless otherwise noted). The collection is comprised of Hall of Famers (including Bobby Jones, Walter Hagen, Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, and Jack Nicklaus), stars, and generic golfers, and was assembled one card at a time by a very dedicated extremely advanced collector over a period of many years, whose primary interest was golf cards, with a primary focus on completeness, properly defining what cards were issued (especially as many rare and unusual issues are represented), as well as condition and eye-appeal. Golf cards represent a special challenge, as few card sets are devoted to the sport, and until recent years, there has been little in the way of published research materials to understand exactly what exists. We have never before seen an advanced collection of this type. This is an extremely significant collection that would be very difficult to match, and that cost a small fortune to assemble, put together by world-class collector Jack Zugay, whose efforts we believe will someday be looked at as far ahead of his time.
