Graded MINT 96 by SGC. Out of the 333 examples SGC has graded to date, just eight have been graded MINT 96, with only one graded higher! Extraordinary ultra high-grade example of Pete Rose"™s rookie card. One of card collecting's greatest classics, Rose's rookie card is the key to the 1963 Topps set, and one of the most popular of all postwar baseball cards. This card is particularly difficult to find in high grade due to the flush-to-the-border design, which makes the top edges and corners so susceptible to wear. The card displays virtually perfect centering, with bright colors and four razor-sharp corners. Perfectly clean both front and back, this is an incredibly strong ultra high grade card in all respects, an essentially flawless MINT example of the Pete Rose rookie, the key card to the 1963 Topps set. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grade is $9,500. Reserve $2,500. Estimate $5,000++. SOLD FOR $8,225
