Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Of the 494 examples graded by PSA, only three cards (including this one) have been graded at this miraculous level, with none graded higher. Presented is the finest example in the world of one of collecting's most classic cards, the T206 of Walter Johnson (hands at chest pose). Johnson, of course, is one of the key Hall of Famers in the T206 White Borders set, which is universally recognized as one of the most substantial and beautiful sets ever produced. This is a simply stunning card in all respects, and very much deserving of its impressive MINT 9 grade. All four corners are perfect and razor-sharp. The colors are unbelievably bright, crisp, and absolutely flawless. The card is perfectly clean, both front and back, with snow-white borders. The registration is flawless. The centering on front is virtually perfect (47/53 left to right). The back of the card is very well centered slightly toward the bottom. This is such an extraordinary card that we're not even sure what keeps it from grading a perfect Gem Mint 10. This card would be a significant highlight in even the most advanced world-class vintage-card collection, and a centerpiece in any high-grade T206, Walter Johnson, or classic Hall of Fame card collection.
