Ultra high-grade complete set of 1936 Pac-Kups "Jolly Roger Pirate Cards." Forty-six of the forty-eight cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. Forty-four of the forty-eight cards range in grade from NM-MT to MINT condition! Cards from the 1930s are rarely found in such extraordinary condition. There is an explanation: These cards originate from a legendary pack-fresh find of these nonsport classics that occurred many decades ago (we believe in the 1960s). All are bright and fresh, with bold colors, and sharp corners. The set includes seventeen MINT 9s, one NM-MT+ 8.5, twenty-six NM-MT 8s, one NM 7, one EX-MT 6, and two ungraded (Ex-Mt and Vg-Ex). PSA grading composite: Seventeen MINT 9: A Man-O-War, A Ship"™s Stern, A Topsail Schooner, Attack on a Town, Blackbeard"™s Capture, Buried Treasure, Burning the Ship, Careening the Ship, Chained in the Hold, Duel on the Beach, Extorting Tribute, Francis A. Huxley, The Happy Delivery, John Phillips, Left to Burn, Map of the Spanish Main, and Pierre Le Grand. One NM-MT+ 8.5: A Brig. Twenty-six NM-MT 8: A Bilander, A Broadside Cannon, A Chase at Sea, A Secret Map, A Sloop, A Treasure Map, About to Die, Boarding the Prize, Captain John Quelch, Captain Thomas Pound, Captain William Kidd, Combat at Sea, Dividing the Spoils, Duel on the Gun Deck, Edward (Blackbeard) Teach, Edward Low, Fight on the Quarter Deck, Marooned, Ransacking a Town, Samuel Bellamy, Set Adrift, Signing the Articles, Sir Henry Morgan, Storm at Sea, Unloading Treasure, and Walking the Plank. One NM 7: A Brigantine. One EX-MT 6: Pirate Gold. Two ungraded: George Lowther (Vg-Ex) and Treasure Cave (Ex-Mt). This is an extraordinary high-grade set of this extremely attractive 1930s nonsport card issue. Total 48 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+. SOLD FOR $1,528
