The 1954 Johnston Cookies cardboard premium display is designed with precut corner slots to house the complete set of thirty-five Johnston Cookie cards. The complete set is presented "tipped-in" as intended. This set may very well have been on this display since 1954. They could easily be removed if desired. The regionally issued 1954 Johnston Cookies set features only Milwaukee Braves players and is highlighted by the scarce Bobby Thomson card, which was withdrawn from the set shortly after production began, as well as Eddie Mathews and Hank Aaron (rookie). The card set grades Ex to Ex-Mt overall, with no creases, just a little natural general wear from display, and a little color fading to the reds from the exposure to light from being in the display all these years. The wall card display was available from Johnston Cookies only through a premium mail-in offer. The display has some minor flaws, primarily tack holes in the corners, but is still very impressive and ideal for display. Measures 20.5 x 31.25 inches. Reserve $200. Estimate $300/$500.
