T205 Gold Borders partial set is comprised of 108 different cards (out of the 208 cards in the complete set) from this classic tobacco-card issue. All are different, and included are seven Hall of Famers and five minor leaguers. The condition overall ranges from Pr-Fr to Fr-Gd, with a few slightly better or slightly worse. Keys: Bender (Pr), Chase/both ears gold frame ends (Gd), Cicotte ("Black Sox," Pr), Collins/mouth closed (Fr), Huggins (Pr-Fr), Mathewson (Pr), McGraw (Pr), Speaker (Pr), and Wheat (Fr). Minor Leaguers: Cady (Fr-Gd), J. Collins (Fr), Frick (Fr), Hanford (Pr-Fr), and Nee (Gd). This is a neat group of cards from "the olden days," a little rough but still very collectable, and ideal for the collector who does not want to spend a fortune, buts wants real, original circa 1910 tobacco cards which capture the spirit of the history of the game and collecting.
