Charles Barkley Phoenix Suns home promotional jersey dating to the 1992-1993 season. The white mesh jersey is lettered "Suns" across the front and features the number "34" on the front and reverse. "Barkley" is lettered on the reverse above the number. All letters and numerals are appliquéd in purple on black tackle twill. An official NBA patch is located on the upper left breast. Situated on the left front tail are a "Champion 50" label and a Champion exclusivity label that reads in part: "1992-93 Designed and Tailored Exclusively for Phoenix Suns." The label, which features the team name, also makes note of the garment's extra body length, "Body Length +3." The jersey is all original, with no alterations, and displays minimal wear throughout. This jersey is almost identical in style to the jerseys Barkley wore in 1992-1993, and was not available for sale to the public, but cannot actually be a game-worn jersey due to the fact that the NBA logo patch appears on the left (as opposed to the right) side. Despite the fact that it is properly tagged and displays traits consistent with other Barkley jerseys from this period, MEARS states clearly in its LOA that "based on the combination of the minimal wear and the NBA logo being present on the wrong side of the chest, left instead of right, this jersey is most likely a promotional jersey. The jersey was not worn during a game by Barkley." Graded A5 by MEARS (no post-1987 jersey can achieve a higher grade than A5 without additional provenance). LOA from Troy Kinunen/MEARS.
