Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA. One of only seven examples graded at this level. A very attractive example of Hall of Famer Addie Joss from the T3 Turkey Red cabinet card series. It is fascinating to note that the T3 Joss card was issued in the year of his passing, as was the T205 card of Joss which mentions his untimely death in the text of the reverse. Joss tragically passed away from meningitis on April 14, 1911. The premium offer on the back of the T3 Joss, as listed at the bottom of the reverse of the card, expires June 30, 1911. Bright and crisp, both front and back, with bold, rich colors, even wear on the corners, a few light surface wrinkles, a light stain on the top border, and a very clean checklist reverse. This is one of Addie Joss"™ most striking cards, in an extremely desirable grade, and representing a tremendous value compared to a higher-grade example. SMR value is $1,000. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,997.50
