Complete set of this very early Topps issue featuring William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy. "Hoppy" was very popular with kids and was a natural to be the subject of a card set in the earliest days of the Topps Gum Company. 75% range in grade from Vg-Ex to Ex-Mt, averaging Ex overall, 25% Vg. The complete 230-card (#1-230) Hopalong Cassidy set narrates ten different stories. Cards feature photographs from both the movies and the T.V. show. The set includes seven of the eight unnumbered foil cards which are considered by most to be a separate issue. Tough set rarely offered complete in any grade.
