This Mickey Mantle signed New York Yankees home jersey, produced by Mitchell & Ness, originates from the personal collection of Greer Johnson (who was Mantle's longtime agent), in addition to later being from Barry Halper's personal collection. The flannel garment, which is an exact reproduction of Mantle's 1956 New York Yankees jersey, has been inscribed by Mantle in blue Sharpie ("9/10") on the front, "Mickey Mantle - No. 7 - 1956." This jersey was one of only forty such Mantle signed jerseys inscribed in this manner and both its special provenance and unique distribution number are noted on the right front tail in black chain-stitched lettering, "Greer Johnson Collection - 4 of 40." A Mitchell & Ness tag appears in the collar and a "Cooperstown Collection" label is on the left front tail. Mint condition. From the Barry Halper Collection. LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500.
