Graded NM 7 by PSA. One of only six examples at this level, with just two graded higher. Exceptionally high-grade example of this key Hall of Famer from the classic T202 Hassan Triple Folders set: "Catching Him Napping" featuring Hall of Famer Roger Bresnahan and "Rebel" Oakes on the end panels. T202 Triple Folders are one of the most condition-sensitive prewar issues. Due to their unusual design and method of issue, they are virtually nonexistent in Near Mint or better condition. The offered example is a rare exception. Perfectly clean, both front and back, with snow-white borders, bright and crisp colors, virtually flawless registration, and four sharp corners. The slight off-centering towards the bottom left border is most likely responsible for this card not receiving a Nr/Mt-Mt grade by PSA. This is an extraordinary high-grade example which would be at home in the finest high-grade T202 set, or would be a highlight in any serious prewar Hall of Fame card collection. We have found that at auction cards from extremely popular sets with very low populations in the highest grades often sell for far more than SMR, and this is especially the case with classic vintage sets such as the T202 Triple Folders. SMR is $850.
