The five National Biscuit Company advertising displays featured in this lot were carefully culled from our consignor's vast collection as particularly exceptional advertising displays noteworthy for both their stunning visual appeal and product diversity. Unless otherwise noted, all of the pieces appear to be dry mounted upon a cardboard backing, display horizontal and vertical fold lines (as issued), and are framed to slightly larger dimensions. All are remarkably bright, clean, and ideal for display.
1)
Circa 1910 advertising display for Uneeda Biscuit. This is the quintessential company advertising piece as it features the famed "Uneeda Boy," holding the company's first nationally marketed product: Uneeda Biscuits. The piece (17 x 23.25 inches) exhibits a few small tears along the fold lines as well number of tiny creases that have been effectively ameliorated by the mounting process. In Very Good to Excellent condition.
2)
Circa 1910 advertising display for Zu Zu Ginger Snaps. The display features Zu Zu the clown, another of the company's early and very well known trademark images. The piece (17 x 23 inches) does not display any fold lines, but has two small vertical tears extending down from the top border. Both tears have been effectively ameliorated by the mounting process and the display is otherwise in Excellent condition.
