New York Yankees home jersey worn by two-time Manager of the Year Joe Torre in 2005. Graded a perfect A10 by MEARS. This jersey originates directly from Yankees-Steiner Collectibles, the official collectibles company of the New York Yankees, which exclusively markets all authentic game-used Yankees jerseys, and is accompanied by an LOA from the company attesting to its game-used status.The white-knit pinstripe jersey features the club's "NY" logo on the front and the number "6" on the reverse. All letters and numerals have been appliquéd in navy tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are a "Majestic Athletic" label, an adjacent "2005" year tag, and a flag tag bearing the size, "48." A Major League Baseball patch appears on the rear collar. The jersey is completely original, with no alterations, and displays light wear throughout. Joe Torre is one of the most successful managers in baseball history. Since taking the helm in 1996, the Yankees have won the American League Eastern Division title in ten of the past eleven seasons (including the last nine consecutive years). Torre has also won six pennants and four World Championships. Upon his retirement he is certain to receive strong consideration for election to the Baseball Hall of Fame, especially given the fact that only three other managers in history have won more World Championships (Connie Mack, Joe McCarthy, and Casey Stengel). Graded A10 by MEARS (5 point base grade, plus 5 points for provenance).
