It is believed that these unusual Square Green Base bobbing-head dolls were not intended to be a set unto themselves, and were actually made from leftover white base doll stock materials with bases painted green to match the newly designed line of round Green Base dolls. They are quite scarce, and were likely only produced during this brief transitional period. This lot includes eight different Square Green Base dolls: Milwaukee Braves (Nr/Mt+); two Tigers (Mint and Vg); Senators sideways hat (Vg-Ex); Senators (Vg-Ex); Reds (Mint); Twins (Gem Mint), and Giants (Vg).
