Collection of eighty-three assorted World Series ticket stubs representing a well-distributed collection of thirty-four different games played between the arch rival Dodgers and Yankees. The collection is comprised of stubs from seven different World Series, and represents games from most Yankee/Dodger World Series as follows: 1) 1947 (7 stubs): Games 6 and 7 (two stubs) at Yankee Stadium; Games 3 (DiMaggio and Berra home runs), 4, and 5 (two stubs - DiMaggio home run) at Ebbets Field. 2) 1949 (8 stubs): Games 1 (two stubs) and 2 (two stubs) at Yankee Stadium; Games 3 (two stubs - Reese and Campy home runs), 4, and 5 (DiMaggio and Hodges home runs) at Ebbets Field. 3) 1952 (15 stubs): Games 1 (two stubs - Robinson, Snider, Reese home runs), 2 (two stubs), and 6 (Mantle, Berra, Snider home runs) at Ebbets Field; Games 3 (five stubs - Berra and Mize home runs), 4 (two stubs - Mize home run), and 5 (three stubs - Mize and Snider home runs) at Yankee Stadium. 4) 1953 (9 stubs): Games 1 (two stubs - Berra, Hodges, Gilliam home runs), 2 (Mantle home run), and 6 at Yankee Stadium; Games 3 (three stubs - Campy home run), 4 (Snider home run), and 5 (Mantle home run) at Ebbets Field. 5) 1955 (17 stubs): Games 1 (four stubs - Snider home run), 2, and 6 (two stubs) at Yankee Stadium; Games 3 (Mantle and Campy home runs), 4 (three stubs - Campy, Snider, Hodges home runs), and 5 (six stubs - Berra and Snider home runs) at Ebbets Field. 6) 1956 (26 stubs): Games 1 (four stubs - Mantle, Martin, Robinson, Hodges home runs), 2 (six stubs - Snider and Berra home runs), 6 (eight stubs), and 7 (three stubs - Berra home runs) at Ebbets Field; Games 3 (four stubs), and 4 (Mantle home run) at Yankee Stadium. 7) 1963: One stub from Game 1, played in Yankee Stadium (Koufax sets new record of 15 K's). Note: Three of the 1956 tickets are autographed - one by Larsen (in felt tip, Game 6) and two by Labine. This conscientiously assembled collection is in only slightly lesser grade than the sets offered previously. Due to minor faults naturally common to tickets, about 50% of this collection technically ranges in grade from Very Good to Excellent, and 50% ranges from Good to Vg; as a whole, the group of 83 presents at a glance an overall Excellent appearance. A tremendous amount of effort has been invested, and literally hundreds of tickets have been carefully considered over a period of many years, in the assembling of this Yankee/Dodger World Series ticket collection. Total 83 tickets. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$3,000. SOLD FOR $6,960.00
