Babe Ruth autographed many unique items during his lifetime, but he rarely had occasion to sign items relating to a sport other than baseball. This white "Everlast" boxing glove is signed by Babe Ruth ("6"), Olympian Jesse Owens ("8"), and "Bojangles" who has signed "Bill Robinson" ("6"), as well as three other signatures (illegible). The Ruth and Robinson signatures are in black fountain; Owens is signed in blue ink. We have seen golf balls, tennis balls, and even bowling scorecards signed by Ruth, but this is the only Ruth-signed boxing glove we have seen. The story of this glove is that it was signed at a New York nightclub which was frequented by many celebrities. The leather of the glove is still very soft and supple. Excellent condition.
