Offered is a collection of three letters, each signed by a different founding family member of the Harley-Davidson Motor Co., and each on official company stationery. Included are letters signed by: 1) William H. Davidson, President of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, who succeeded to that position upon the death of his uncle, cofounder and president Walter Davidson. The scarce 3/4-page typewritten letter on company letterhead is signed, "William H. Davidson," and dated November 30, 1934. The content of the letter makes reference to an order of radios for the Orlando, FL, Police Department. 2) William S. Harley was a Harley-Davidson cofounder, as well as lifelong chief engineer and designer. This full-page typewritten letter, on company letterhead, is dated June 10, 1937, and is signed, "Wm. S. Harley." 3) Gordon Davidson held the position of vice president of manufacturing in the company that bore the name of his father, President Walter Davidson. The full-page letter, dated April 10, 1936, discusses gearing options for a motorcycle transmission, and is signed, "Gordon Davidson." All three of these rare signatures grade a "9/10" overall. Each letter has typical mail folds and is in Ex-Mt condition. This is an important and rarely assembled trio of signatures from Harley-Davidson's corporate beginning. LOA from James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500. SOLD FOR $1,160.00
