Dave McNally won 20 or more games in four consecutive seasons, and was a member of Baltimore's elite "Big Four" 20-game winning pitchers in 1971 (posting a 21-5 record). This Baltimore flannel home jersey dates from 1965, early in McNally's career, and his first breakout season as a star (11-6, .285 ERA). The jersey is lettered "Orioles" across the front with player number "19" on the reverse. All the letters and numbers are in orange with black trim. The left front tail has the "Wilson" label with the size "40." Below this is a white patch reading "19-40-65-2". These numbers denote the player number, size, year, and set number, respectively. McNally has beautifully signed ("8") the jersey in black ink on the left front tail beneath the labels. The jersey shows excellent game use and has no alterations. An ideal early flannel style jersey of a very scarce Hall of Famer. LOAs from Dave Bushing & Dan Knoll/SCD Authentic and Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $3,737.50
