REA’s January Auction Led by Sale of GEM MINT Rickey Henderson Rookie

Chester, NJ - January 20, 2025 - REA concluded its January Auction Sunday night, led by a stunning PSA GEM MINT 10 example of Rickey Henderson's 1980 Topps rookie card that sold for $150,000, the fourth highest sale all-time for this beloved card. This was the first event on REA’s new bidding platform and included more than 3,000 cards and collectibles that spanned more than 150 years of history.

The results were also highlighted by two of the most iconic vintage baseball cards - a 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle SGC VG 40 that sold for $51,600 and a 1915 E145 Cracker Jack #103 Joe Jackson SGC Authentic that sold for $34,800.

Rounding out the top results was 2000 Playoff Contenders #144 Tom Brady Rookie Ticket Autograph BGS MINT 9 with a GEM MINT 10 signature that sold for $31,200. 

The auction generated nearly $1.5 million in sales across more than 69,000 bids. Other notable results from REA’s first event of the year included:
