REA Launches Fixed Price Marketplace Led by Signed Game-Used Ohtani Jersey from First MVP Season

PJ Kinsella — March 20 2025

Chester, NJ - March 19, 2025 - REA has launched its Fixed Price Marketplace, a new platform that allows clients to consign graded and authenticated cards and memorabilia for sale at a fixed price. The Marketplace’s opening selection is led by a 2021 Shohei Ohtani Los Angeles Angels photomatched game-used home jersey that’s been signed in Kanji and inscribed “AL MVP 21,” the first of his three MVPs to date. This is one of the finest Ohtani jerseys to come to market and was worn by the Japanese superstar during multiple games, including September 21, in which he hit his 45th home run of the season. The jersey is well documented, with MLB Authentication and photomatching confirmation from Resolution Photomatching.

The platform opens with more than 600 items and, much like all of REA’s auctions, the selection of items includes a variety of modern and vintage cards, ranging from a 1969 Topps #260 Reggie Jackson Rookie PSA MINT 9 and a 1909-1911 E90-1 American Caramel Joe Jackson Rookie PSA VG 3, to unique pieces of memorabilia such as a 1947 "Mickey (Chuck) Mantle" signed "Tiger Chat" high school publication and a 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Summer Games torch signed by Pelé.

Leveraging a “Buy It Now” model, consignors who submit items valued at at least $100 will benefit from a limited time 5% fixed rate for their items. Fixed price sales offer a different dynamic compared to the competitive bidding of live auctions, providing some sellers with greater peace of mind and the control to sell only at their desired price. One of the many benefits of the Marketplace is that the consignor is in full control of when items are made available for sale.

“This is a big day for REA as we’re now able to deliver a completely new service offering to our expansive client base that will add a new layer of flexibility and optionality for everyone,” said REA President Brian Dwyer. “We’re very excited to unveil our Fixed Price Marketplace to the hobby community, especially with such a stellar line-up of items that touches every corner of the collectibles landscape.”

Items must be listed for a minimum of 30 days, after which consignors may pause or remove your item from the marketplace at any time prior to it being sold.
