Chester, NJ - September 21, 2026 - REA’s September Auction closed Sunday night led by a stunning 1956 Topps #135 Mickey Mantle Gray Back PSA NM-MT+ 8.5 and a 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle PSA FAIR 1.5, both of which sold for $76,875. The result was a new record for the 1956 Topps Mantle in this grade, breaking the previous record by more than $20,000. Close behind was a 1985 Star Company Basketball "Gatorade Slam Dunk" #7 Michael Jordan PSA NM-MT 8, which set a new all-time record for the card, finishing at $70,725.

Other record-setting results included a 1962 Topps #300 Willie Mays PSA NM-MT+ 8.5 that sold for $64,575, while an E92 Croft’s Candy Ty Cobb PSA VG 3 finished at $56,580, both setting new records for the cards in their respective grades. Additionally, a 1951 Bowman #253 Mickey Mantle Rookie SGC VG 3 sold for $34,440, a record for the SGC grade.

Several complete sets did very well in this event, led by a 1971-1972 Topps Basketball PSA MINT 9 and NM-MT 8 complete set that sold for $61,500 and stunning PSA high-grade complete sets of 1988-1989 and 1987-1988 Fleer Basketball, which sold for $49,200 and $35,670, respectively. The latter included the complete 11-card sticker set and 65 PSA GEM MINT 10s, while the former featured an incredible 122 PSA GEM MINT 10s. Additionally, a 1959-1960 Topps Hockey PSA-graded complete set sold for $33,210.

• 1986-1987 Fleer Basketball #57 Michael Jordan Rookie PSA NM-MT 8 - $20,910
• 1914 E145 Cracker Jack #7 Eddie Collins PSA VG-EX 4 - $20,910 (record for the grade)
• 1954 Topps #128 Hank Aaron Rookie PSA EX-MT 6 - $20,295 (record for the grade)
• 1953 Topps #82 Mickey Mantle PSA EX 5 - $19,065
• 1909-1911 T206 White Border Ed Reulbach No Glove Showing PSA EX 5 - Broad Leaf 460 Back - 1 of 1 - Highest Graded! (MBA Silver Diamond) - $18,450 (record for the card)
• 1985-1986 Star Company Basketball "Last 11 R.O.Y." #1 Michael Jordan PSA NM-MT 8 - $18,450
