High-Grade 1984 Donruss Complete Set and 1952 Topps Mantle Lead REA February Auction

Chester, NJ - February 23, 2026 - REA’s February Auction closed Sunday night and was led by a stunning 1984 Donruss PSA high-grade complete set that sold for $40,590, followed by a 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle SGC POOR 1 that sold for $36,900, a record for the card in this SGC grade. 

The event’s top results were dominated by a wide range of vintage baseball classics, including a 1952 Topps #392 Hoyt Wilhelm Rookie High Number SGC MINT 9 - the only example graded this high by SGC - that sold for $31,980, a new SGC record for the card in any grade. Also among the top sellers was a 1984-1985 Star Company Basketball #195 Michael Jordan "1984 Gold Medalist" BGS EX-MT+ 6.5 that sold for $17,835, a new record for the card in this grade.
