Graded EX 5 by PSA. Superb mid-grade example of Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Ted Williams' 1954 Bowman card, one of the most significant of all postwar baseball-card rarities. Williams had to be replaced with a different card (#66 Jimmy Piersall) very early in the 1954 Bowman print run due to contractual commitments to Topps. The offered card features brilliant colors, outstanding registration, and strong corners. Clean reverse. Downgraded slightly due to an unobtrusive surface scratch along the upper right on the front.
