Graded EX 60 by SGC (submitted by REA). Only one example grades higher! Stunning example of #38 Jake Stahl (Boston Red Sox) from the classic T3 Turkey Red cabinet-card issue. This card was part of a very substantial, totally untouched collection of 1910-era tobacco cards consigned to this auction (all cards from this collection appear in several lots on the Internet Only section). Bright and crisp, with vibrant colors, outstanding centering, and only very light touches of wear at the corners. The reverse of this card features a checklist of cards #1-76 but is missing the text below the checklist, which outlines the redemption offer in which coupons from Turkey Red, Old Mill, or Fez Cigarettes products could be exchanged by mail for one of the cards. These checklist (no offer) cards are particularly scarce. Turkey Red cabinets are universally recognized as one of the most beautiful baseball-card issues ever produced. This cards would make a tremendous addition to any high-quality Turkey Red set!  Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
